A Royal Popcorn Venture—Run by Kids, Loved by Everyone

Hi! We’re the young kiwi popcornpreneurs from Tauranga behind Kernel Royale, a small family business with big flavour.

It all started after a trip to a local market where we tasted the most amazing kettle corn— crunchy and unlike anything we’d had at home. When we couldn’t find the same popcorn kernels that pop into the same round shape in stores. So our Dad challenged us to source and create a brand ourselves (with a little guidance of course). From that idea popped Kernel Royale.

We now hand-pack our kits with a rare, premium mushroom variety of popcorn that pops into big, round balls—just like the kind used at markets and fairs. With a bit of help from Mum and Dad, we’re learning how to build a business, talk to customers, and create something delicious we’re proud of.

Every Kernel Royale kit is packed by us (yes, the kids!), and every order helps support our journey as young entrepreneurs. Whether it’s sealing the bags, counting out the flavour sachets, or making the stickers stick straight (we’re getting better at it), we love being part of something we built together.

Our popcorn is more than just a snack—it’s a hands-on family project that’s teaching us hard work, creativity, and the joy of sharing something awesome.
